Unrequited love has never been easy, but being the one that’s loved just got harder. Jack Detler ( Dane Dehaan ) seems ordinary from the outside: a small town barista with his heart set on Liza Scalley ( Kat Mcnamara ), a local nursing student. But in a town where terror and mystery reign in the form of lore and a recent kidnapping, it’s no surprise that things take a turn for the worse: his attention and persistence doesn’t let up in spite of Liza’s relationship with a fellow nurse, Mickey Talbot ( Matthew Daddario ), and everyone close to Jack Detler is pulled into the new issues he’s creating —- but whatever you do, don’t look behind you.
The movie also features guest appearances by Adria Arjona ( True Detective ) as Odette Alvarez, Paulina Singer ( Dead of Summer ) as Emma Phillips, and Steven R. McQueen ( The Vampire Diaries ) as one of the few skeptics of Detler, Nicolas Talbot.

In this quirky comedy coming to Netflix as an original series in November 2018, Beard Lady stars Candice Patton as Ramona Santiago, a woman unknowingly engaged to a gay man ( Riz Ahmed ), all the while assisting Joseph Estrada ( Oscar Isaac ) with promoting nursing to the students at his school — but little does she know, Chace ( Ahmed ) is having an affair with Joseph himself. Shenanigans ensue in the half hour dramedy also featuring performances from David Lambert ( The Fosters ), Jameela Jamil ( The Good Place ) and guest performance from Clint Eastwood.
